The AI Impact: How Artificial Intelligence is Changing Dentistry
Wednesday, March 18   6pm-7:30 pm  1.5 CEU core

Presented by: Dr. Parag Kachalia

Artificial Intelligence is no longer a futuristic concept. It is embedded in our daily lives in ways we often do not realize, from generating receipts and creating podcasts to composing music and analyzing medical images. AI is evolving rapidly, transforming how we work, make decisions, and receive healthcare.
In dentistry, AI’s influence is growing quickly. It enhances clinical decision making, improves patient outcomes, and streamlines administrative tasks.

AI helps clinicians detect disease earlier, supports treatment planning, and speeds up insurance processing, making care more precise and efficient.
AI also strengthens the patient-provider relationship. By presenting radiographic findings and clinical insights clearly and visually, it helps patients understand their oral health, fostering trust and driving better outcomes and practice growth.

This session will explore AI’s broad role in daily life and its powerful impact in dentistry, offering real world examples from both consumer and professional AI systems.
Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize how AI is influencing daily life, from automating tasks to advancing healthcare and dental technologies
  • Evaluate real world examples of AI tools improving diagnostics, workflows, and the overall quality of care
  • Implement strategies to enhance clinical and administrative efficiency using AI driven insights
  • Understand the regulatory landscape surrounding AI in dentistry, including best practices for ethical and compliant use
  • Apply AI powered visualizations to improve patient understanding, increase treatment acceptance, and build lasting trust
